    Leadership Opportunity in Special Education – Fall River, MA

    Are you a skilled educator with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs? Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Lead Teacher Assistants to join a dedicated school team in Fall River, MA for the 2025–2026 academic year.

     

    This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in behavioral and intellectual disabilities who’s ready to take on a leadership role and pursue a teaching license.

    Position Snapshot

    + Location: Fall River, MA

    + Start Date: Immediate

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:20 AM – 2:30 PM

    + Duration: Full school year (2025–2026)

    + Pay: Up to $35/hour

    Key Responsibilities

    + Guide and support paraprofessional staff in specialized classroom settings

    + Deliver direct assistance to students in both 1:1 and small group formats

    + Implement behavior plans and academic activities tailored to student needs

    + Track and analyze behavioral data and student progress

    + Collaborate with educators and school teams to maintain consistent support strategies

    + Assist with personal care tasks, including changing and toileting

    + Contribute to IEP development and execution

    What We’re Looking For

    + Bachelor’s degree (required)

    + At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with behavioral and intellectual disabilities

    + Proven leadership in educational or behavioral environments

    + Strong skills in de-escalation, behavior tracking, and data collection

    + Interest in pursuing a teaching license

    + Comfortable supporting students with challenging behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement, flopping, self-injury)
