Job Description:

General Responsibilities:

Provide archaeological support which may include archaeological surveys, testing, or excavations, and corresponding documentation. Adhere to strict safety standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

+ Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

+ Entry level technician performing field, survey or laboratory analysis under the supervision of a Crew Chief or higher.

+ Follow basic field or laboratory protocols outlined by more senior staff, such as archaeological fieldwork or artifact processing.

+ Maintain assigned equipment.

+ Provides clear documentation of findings or results.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Basic understanding of archaeological resources.

+ Have basic computer skills

+ Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
