    + JOB REQUIREMENTS

    + Education

    + Skill and proficiency in applying the principles, concepts and techniques, which are central to the nursing profession. Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age. ADN acceptable but BSN preferred. Current licensure or permit as a registered nurse in the state of Arkansas. Also must be a licensed Social Worker, or a Master's Social Worker, or be a graduate of a Bachelors or Masters in Social Work program.

    + Experience

    + Minimum of three-five years clinical experience, documented expertise in nursing practice. Knowledge of hospital, department, and patient care policies and procedures, ability to develop expertise in new areas and programs.

    + Physical

    + Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting, carrying up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing and reaching.

    + JOB SUMMARY

    + Responsible for coordinating, assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care for the patients in the joint and stroke programs. Develops and presents educational programs for the participants, staff, and community, monitors and analyzes data in order to achieve optimal clinical, financial, and safety outcomes, utilization, and service. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment. Responsible for coordinating organization’s efforts in attaining and maintaining Joint Commission Disease-Specific Certification for stroke and joint programs. Responsible for evaluating, planning, implementing, coordinating options and services to meet the patient’s health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost-effective outcomes. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
