The Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) Senior Manager is responsible for sourcing and leading large-scale transactions within our Timberlands, Corporate Development, and Wood Products businesses. A&D, together with the Portfolio Strategy & Investment (PSI) team is responsible for managing Weyerhaeuser’s industry-leading portfolio of assets, including strategy development, asset valuation, and implementation of value-accretive transactions. The team partners across Weyerhaeuser’s Timberlands, Real Estate, Energy & Natural Resources, Natural Climate Solutions, and Wood Products businesses to optimize capital and deliver the most value from every acre of our 11-million-acre portfolio.
The A&D and PSI teams are strengthened by diverse perspectives from backgrounds in forestry operations, marketing, economics, corporate finance, law, investment banking, geospatial analysis, and real estate. This is a unique opportunity to join a dedicated team of industry professionals with demonstrated success in end-to-end portfolio management of a world-class timber and forest products portfolio. Over the last four years, this team led over $1.4 billion in strategic transactions, increasing cash flows and total portfolio value across multiple asset classes.
As we look to maximize the return on invested capital from the company’s timberlands portfolio, success will require strong leadership and team-building skills, including the ability to develop and execute value-accretive transactions, lead cross-functional teams throughout the organization, and the ability to think creatively as we assess alternative revenue streams associated with the environmental benefits of sustainable forest management. You will need to effectively balance long-range strategy implementation and daily execution of business results in a fast-paced environment with high-impact priorities — all while supporting our long-term sustainability goals and strategy to ensure we can continue to thrive and make a positive impact for the next century and beyond. The A&D Senior Manager brings a passion for coordinating complex projects, market intelligence, and leading high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities
* Transaction Execution: Lead portfolio acquisition and divestiture transactions in all phases including deal sourcing, overseeing underwriting, designing and coordinating due diligence, supporting contract negotiations, leadership approvals and managing closing processes.
* Portfolio Optimization: Evaluate the company’s 11-million-acre timberland portfolio to identify holdings within strategic growth markets as well as non-strategic markets with below-average risk adjusted returns by partnering with cross-functional teams.
* Strategy Implementation: Communicate the company’s investment thesis, participate in deal sourcing strategy, support creative investment structures, and contribute to the execution of the company’s acquisition and divestiture program to strategically optimize and upgrade the portfolio.
* Internal Relationships: Cultivate strong internal relationships to support the formation of highly effective cross functional teams with the ability to influence internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company strategy.
* External Networks: Develop and maintain key contacts and relationships within the timberland investment community including timberland owners, investment bankers, and service providers.
* Valuation Support: Maintain a deep understanding of timberland markets and industry trends to build an investment position on timberland valuation for company lands and acquisition opportunities.
* Track, summarize, and prepare regular updates on team performance, market intelligence, and transaction status to support decision-making and strategic alignment.
* Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Forestry, Finance, Environmental Science, Business. MBA or graduate degree preferred.
* 7 years professional experience in Forestry, Natural Resource, or other real property-based management or investments.
* Demonstrated ability to build and develop effective cross-functional teams, people leadership in positions of increasing responsibilities, and high level of emotional intelligence.
* Results oriented, highly organized, attention to detail, and able to efficiently manage several diverse projects simultaneously to meet competing deadlines.

* Adept in Excel, proficient in Power Point and Word.
* Up to 20% travel expected
*What We Offer:* **
*Compensation*: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of$142,650-$213,975based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

*Retirement*: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
*Paid Time Off or Vacation*: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
