As Waste Management accelerates its HR transformation to maintain market leadership, The Timekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role by centralizing enterprise time and attendance support, strengthening UKG/Kronos accrual management, and ensuring timely resolution of escalations—driving accuracy, compliance, and confidence in payroll outcomes.
I. Job Summary
The Timekeeping Supervisor leads the HR Service Center’s enterprise support for time and attendance. This role oversees a team responsible for resolving employee and manager inquiries, managing UKG/Kronos accruals, and handling escalations to ensure accurate and timely pay.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.
+ Supervise and develop a team of timekeeping specialists who provide enterprise support for time and attendance queries.
+ Oversee daily operations related to UKG/Kronos accruals, timesheet submissions, corrections, and approvals.
+ Manage escalations from employees, managers, and HR partners, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
+ Partner with Payroll to ensure timekeeping data is complete, accurate, and processed on schedule.
+ Conduct audits of time records and accrual balances to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
+ Identify and resolve complex timekeeping discrepancies, including accrual errors and system issues.
+ Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT on process improvements, system enhancements, and policy changes.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
+ 3+ years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or HR operations, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
+ Strong expertise with UKG/Kronos time and attendance systems required; experience with Oracle HCM or similar HR systems preferred.
+ Knowledge of labor law, pay policies, and compliance requirements.
+ Proven leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle escalations professionally
Advanced knowledge or skills in one or more of the following required:
+ Strong understanding of HR operating models, shared services, and service delivery frameworks.
+ Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends, identify root causes, and support data-driven decision-making (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
+ Familiarity with HR compliance, regulatory frameworks, and data privacy practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA
