Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Compensation specializing in Sales Compensation will design, implement, and manage competitive and effective sales compensation jobs and programs aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role will involve close collaboration with sales leadership, finance, and HR teams to ensure our job structure and compensation drives the desired sales behaviors and business outcomes. This role will collaborate with the sales incentive team but will not design and manage sales incentive plans such as commission or quota plans.
Job Requirements
1. **Sales Compensation Strategy:**
2. Develop and manage the job framework for NetApp’s sales organization.
3. Develop and execute sales compensation strategies that support the company's sales objectives and overall business goals.
4. Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning sales jobs.
5. **Analysis and Reporting:**
6. Analyze sales performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of compensation plans.
7. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on sales compensation trends and plan performance.
8. Advanced knowledge of Excel, HRIS platforms, data analytics software, salary surveys.
9. Expert knowledge of trends in sales compensation that may affect compensation policies.
10. **Collaboration and Communication:**
11. Partner with HR and sales leadership to understand business needs and develop tailored job structures and compensation solutions.
12. Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and a strong collaborative, team approach to getting things done.
13. **Process Improvement:**
14. Continuously review and improve compensation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
+ **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
+ **Experience:** Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in compensation management, with a focus on sales compensation.
+ **Skills:**
+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency in compensation software and tools.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
+ Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing compensation.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 171,700 - 255,200 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
