Description:

Our client, an industry leader in financial services and investment management, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to work on a 12+month contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid/remote schedule in Westlake, TX. The Senior Software Engineer will provide technical leadership and oversight, implement architecture recommendations, work with technical partners, and assist developers and testers as needed. The role demands significant collaboration with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, hardworking, and self-driven. We work in a very dynamic agile environment.

_Rate: $60 - $64 / hr. w2_

Responsibilities:

• Tech lead role who will be responsible for leading a team of developer and analysts to deliver business value by coordinating with Architects, Analysts and Product owners

• Accountable for delivery of functional software, sprint to sprint, release to release

• Perfection in software development practices and procedures

• Participates in application level architecture – able to drive the solution

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts

• Responsible for QA readiness of software work you are doing (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)

• Responsible for supporting implementation of initiatives

• Works on sophisticated assignments and often multiple phases of a project

• Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures

Experience Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Reporting & Visualization, Data Analytics and Data engineering.

• Expert-level knowledge of front-end architecture and frameworks using Angular, JavaScript and Typescript.

• Extensive Experience in Power BI including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.

• Good understanding of Embedding Power BI reports in Angular based web applications, including security, identity and access management.

• Extensive experience in cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) including services such as Function Apps, Blob Storage, Azure Devops, Microsoft Fabric, EKS, RDS and S3.

• Experience developing Python applications including APIs and Automation scripts.

• Experience in Snowflake highly preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

_Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
