    Are you passionate about patient care? We are seeking a personable and experienced full-time medical assistant for our office located in Sewickley with the ability to travel to a 2nd location 1 day a week to help our dedicated team with clinical and administrative tasks. Must have excellent interpersonal skills (both in person and on the phone). We strive to create a career destination that feels more like family than work. Hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, daylight hours.

    Our office specializes in Internal and geriatric medicine and was established in 1995 for one common purpose: To provide the highest quality care.

    Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

    • In many cases, the MA is responsible for verifying and recording in the EMR system pertinent information related to the patient’s medical history and current medical conditions prior to the provider seeing the patient.

    • Meet and greet patients

    • Answers and returns patient phone calls as directed.

    • Active listening and empathy are key in the MA role, as many patients may be battling acute illness or an ongoing medical condition and require a certain level of care compassion

    • Complete various clinical tasks and minor procedures including EKG’s, vitals, & injections

    • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.

    • Always maintain professionalism in your appearance and interactions with patients and staff.

    • Adhere to all HIPPA and OSHA guidelines and regulations.

    • Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.

    • Maintains medical supplies inventory which includes performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.

    • Saves doctors’ time by helping with office procedures.

    • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

    • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

    Medical Assistant Qualifications/Skills:

    • Proven experience as a medical assistant or administrative support role in a healthcare setting

    Skills and Requirements

    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

    • .1+ years in a medical office preferred.

    • Must be 18 years of age or older

    • High school graduate or equivalent(required)

    • The ideal candidate will have both front and back-office experience

    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time

    • Ability to prioritize and multitask

    • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology n/a
