    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a R&D Mechanical Engineer to join the downhole tools team at a top oil and gas client.

     

    This engineer will support the execution of new product development projects for Screens. This role sits in Carrollton, TX Monday - Friday days a week.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Developing 3D models of prototype components, assemblies, and test fixtures using SolidWorks

    • Performing engineering design calculations

    • Authoring and executing product validation test procedures

    • Documenting results through formal test reports

    • Creating design calculators to support engineering analysis

     

    Targeted Pay Rate: $35-$45/hr

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

     

    - Minimum 3 years of experience with new product development engineering

     

    - Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software

     

    - Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite

     

    - Ability to work semi-autonomously with minimal supervision

    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with MathCAD

    • Background in electro-mechanical systems

    • Hands-on experience with product development testing

    • Oil & Gas industry or large scale manufacturing
