• Remote Lead Backend Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global is sourcing for a Lead Backend Engineer, to join a global consulting firm within the GenAI organization focused on Custom Build applications. This position will be focused on building custom applications in a multi-tenant environment, strong understanding of FastAPI is required. The ideal candidate will be able to operation independently and drive project execution without direction. As the Lead Backend Engineer, you will design and implement scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI, write comprehensive unit and API tests using pytest to ensure reliability and maintainability, and integrate Llamaindex workflows. This position will be fully remote in the U.S. working EST hours.

     

    Compensation: $_80_/hr. to $_90_/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -7+ years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in Python

     

    -Deep understanding of FastAPI and asynchronous programming

     

    -Proven experience implementing multi-tenant architectures with Postgres RLS

     

    -Familiarity with LlamaIndex or similar data indexing frameworks

     

    -Strong testing discipline using pytest or equivalent frameworks

     

    -Solid background in Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native deployments

     

    -Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
