What you will do
As a part of Clarios’ $2.2Bn North American Metals business unit, and under general direction of the North American Metals Supply and Inventory Manager you will be responsible for the Metals Supply Chain in North America. In addition, this position will lead the Oxide strategy; direction, process, and spend associated for Mexico. This role will work strategically and collaboratively with cross functional teams within and outside of the North American region in support of the development and execution of the Global Metals strategy. This is a critical position with Clarios’ sustainability blueprint that ensures the company continues to be a Business partner of choice with our customers.
How you will do it
+ Responsible for the North America Metals S&OP process and represent the global Metals team in the Regional S&OP reviews
+ Lead the Metals Master Planning activities for North America, balancing customer requirements, with available supply, and other strategic and operational constraints [Risk, Quality, Logistics, etc.]
+ Drives the oxide commodity strategy for US & Mexico, supporting vertical integration strategies, while securing external supply and cultivating long-term, collaborative relationships with vendor base
+ Leads annual contract negotiations with tolling and oxide vendors, and provides annual budgeting/ standard cost guidance for metals commodities
+ Develops Metal standardization, secondary sourcing, and other strategic efforts that ensure Metal supply security within the Region
+ Provides leadership with on-going cost savings opportunities through optimized supply chain planning [Operations, Logistics], or through direct material savings [Procurement, Manufacturing]
+ Develops Inventory optimization strategies that optimize capital investments while mitigating supply chain risks
+ Prepares business plans for commodity and supply strategies as necessary for executive audiences
+ Maintains and improves the overall internal control environment and implementing policies and procedures where necessary to ensure the adequate safeguarding of company assets
+ Compiles key performance indicators, identifies opportunities to develop and implement sustainable improvement actions, and reports out on performance to executive audiences
+ May require 20% travel, including international
What we look for
Required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering
+ 6+ years of experience in supply chain with proven success. Metals experience a plus.
+ Strong critical thinking and analytical ability, and process orientation in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems
+ Advanced knowledge of S&OP and Inventory management processes required
+ Experience in commercial negotiation required
Preferred
+ Proven ability to manage across functions and successfully engage and influence others outside area of control. Ability to influence up, down and across the organization
+ Previous experience leading direct reports required
+ Proficient in utilizing business software applications including MS Office (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint), Visio and project management software
+ Previous experience working in high volume process manufacturing a plus
+ Fluent in Spanish a plus
