**The role you'll contribute:** The Oncology Social Work Services Manager has primary responsibility for the oversight, development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of all AHCI Social Work Support Programs. This includes daily operations and program delivery at the AHCI main campus and all satellite campuses. The Manager serves as clinical supervisor and mentor to all AHCI social work staff and social work interns. The Manager is a resource person to all AH staff, administration, medical staff, and the community, regarding questions involving adult, adolescent and pediatric populations, with respect to psychosocial issues in oncology and hematology as they relate to the work of the AHCI Social Work Services. Provides clinical assessment of the impact of cancer on patients/families, working with patients/families to remove barriers to care, enhance adherence to cancer treatment and provide counseling and support through interventions which aid in establishing effective coping skills throughout the course of oncology treatment into survivorship or end of life.
The Manager is administratively responsible, working with the Associate Director, for managing, directing, supporting and evaluating the daily operations of AHCI Social Work Services Department, through statistical reports, onboarding of new employees, record keeping, employee engagement efforts, annual performance evaluations, and upholding accreditation and compliance standards. Participates on the Comprehensive Cancer Committee, by appointment, leads the psychosocial support services, and works as a committee liaison with the American Cancer Society. The Manager actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

+ Provides management and oversight of daily operations, development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of AHCI Oncology Social Work Support Programs.
+ Works in collaboration with the AHCI Administration and Associate Director and is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all existing and/or new cancer support and education services and oncology hematology social work services, and continues to develop appropriate relationships to maximize social work services program effectiveness and facilitates program problem resolutions across department, campus, and physician/provider lines.
+ Functions as the psychosocial oncology resource person to all hospital staff, administration, medical staff and the community, regarding questions involving adult, adolescent and pediatric populations, with respect to psychosocial issues in oncology and hematology as they relate to the work of the AHCI Social Work Services.
+ Utilizes specialized training in comprehensive cancer care which includes NeuroOncology, GYNOncology, Radiation Oncology, Blood Cancers, and Medical Oncology through continuing education and direct oncology and palliative care experience. This includes a specialized knowledge of oncology and human development, ethnicity, spirituality, individual personality, life experiences and family situations, as impacted by cancer.
+ Practices, maintains, and updates evidence-based best practices for all oncology social work and
+ Masters level appropriate psychosocial activities, provides clinical supervision and mentorship to all AHCI Oncology Social Work staff and social work student interns, overseeing development, implementation and evaluation or delegates and directs as appropriate to social work staff.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:
+ Masters degree in Social Work
+ Minimum of 6 years of post-Masters social work experience, including at least three years in oncology social work
+ One 3 years of supervision/management in oncology social work and oncology support program development experience
+ Minimum of six months of public speaking experience
+ Minimum of one year of Field Instructor/Social Work student supervision experience in the oncology setting
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED** :
+ Experience in oncology and hematology social work, or general medical social work and case
management services in acute health care setting
+ Experience in clinical counseling for palliative and end-of-life needs
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED** **:
+ Current active registration and full (not provisional) licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the Florida State Board of Clinical Social Work
+ Current active Oncology Social Work Certification (OSW-C), as administered by the Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW)
**LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED** :
+ Qualified Clinical Supervisor in Social Work (certification per Florida Board of Clinical Social
Work, Marriage & Family Therapy & Mental Health Counseling
