    Our **Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)** is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

     

    As a **Senior Program Coordinator** for the ThinkBIG program, you will work with leaders and the Program Manager to manage the Caterpillar ThinkBIG program. This program has over 25 years of success creating Cat dealer technicians. In this position, you will work with Cat dealers and colleges/universities to support, sustain, and grow the program.

    What You Will Do:

    • Assist leaders and the Program Manager to enable development of Cat dealer technicians aligned with Services Growth and Dealer Technician Growth.

    • Develop project charters, project timetables and other documents that would be provided to internal leadership teams for approval and governance.

    • Participate in the preparation of proposals, plans, and program specifications collaboratively with Workforce Consultants and District teams.

    • Develop and execute the schedule, budget, and performance of development programs.

    • Coordinate the logistics of educational resources to support program sustainability and expansion ie training iron, curriculum updates, and overall program governance.

    • Identify and propose solutions to improve the program based on feedback and experience.

    • Plan and execute major events pertinent to programs including but not limited to: ThinkBIG Conference, SkillsUSA (State of Illinois and Nationals), FFA Nationals.

    • Coordinate and attend program governance meetings centrally and locally with educational partners, dealers, and regional support teams.

    • Analyze program inputs and data with regular reporting to ensure program health and sustainability.

    • Support the marketing assets design and implementation to promote program growth including recruiting material, printed media, website design, and benchmarking.

    • Execute audits on existing schools to ensure consistent standards.

    What You Have (Basic Requirements):

    • **Business Acumen:** Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

    • **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

    • **Process Management:** Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

    • **Collaborating:** Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

    • **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    • **Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

    • **Project Management:** Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

    • **Data Gathering and Reporting:** Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

    What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have/Preferred Skills):

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education and/or technical training

    • Experience as a service technician or knowledge of mechanical systems and tools

    • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, and Tableau)

    • Experience communicating key considerations and examples for business decision making processes to achieve business goals.

    • Process management with the ability walks through steps, decisions, measurements, dependencies, and hand-offs for specific processes.

    • Experience collaborating to engage across Caterpillar, Cat Dealers, and Educational Institutions to help solve business problems and meet business goals through collaborative processes.

    • Effective communication skills; specifically listening to program feedback and using it for program and communication effectiveness. Creating presentations and providing reports needed to influence all levels of organizational counterparts.

    • Project Management experience utilizing tools, techniques and methods for estimating project cost and time, creating plans, estimates, staffing, organization and monitoring.

    • Data gathering and reporting knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. Detects and summarizes patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports. Assesses common problems and obstacles surrounding data-gathering.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $95,640.00 - $143,520.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
