At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $19.05– $28.30, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

Position Summary: Pharmacy Tech II Per Diem, All Shifts

Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

+ Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding highly desired

+ Knowledge of third-party payer regulations and guidelines highly desired

+ Proficiency in PC software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet programs

+ Experience with electronic health record systems

+ Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, working under moderate to high degree of pressure.

+ Ability to multitask and problem-solve with strong organizational skills.

+ Excellent leadership skills and strong decision-making and self-motivation skills.

+ Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and mathematical skills.

+ Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy Operations and third-party payers and insurance plans.

+ Ability to understand the importance of and respect the confidentiality of all patient information.

Requirements:

+ Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

+ Experience: 2 years of experience preferred

+ Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Technician.
