    + GENERAL SUMMARY

    + The Manager, IS Data Analytics is responsible for data reporting and business intelligence projects and staff management within the Data Analytics department. The manager directs data analytics team members in the areas of prioritization, scheduling, technical direction and development practices, and coordinates with internal partners and end-users to determine requirements design and delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, dashboards and operational reporting. Reports to department leadership.

    + ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Collaborates with people across the organization to deliver data products that support decision making and fosters a data-driven culture.

    + Facilitates discovery, design, project management and deployment of BI projects.

    + Manages daily workload within the Data Analytics team and provides Data Governance oversight, prioritized stakeholder requests and manages on-going maintenance and support of reports and dashboards.

    + Analyzes complex data sets and works closely with Database Administrators and technical staff to design, build and maintain SQL and columnar databases, and provides metrics and visualizations to support enterprise data needs.

    + Explores new trends, tools and best practices including, but not limited to, predictive modeling, large language models and AI.

    + Leads, manages, coaches, and trains a team or department, provides guidance, support, and mentors to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

    + Oversees the recruitment, hiring, team/department orientation, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions including up to termination processes for a team or department.

    + MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    + Required Education and Experience

    + Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with 2 years of experience generally equivalent to 1 year of college education.

    + 5 or more years of data analytics experience including design, generation and support of reports and dashboards.

    + 5 or more years of experience working with relational, columnar and/or flat databases and data modeling.

    + 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst or report analyst/developer.

    + Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Advanced understanding of healthcare data with knowledge of Epic and/or Oracle a plus.

    + Strong coding skills in at least one language (SQL, SAS, R, Python).

    + Proficiency in data cleansing and extract, transform and load tasks.

    + Highly self-motivated and demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion.

    + Excellent organization, communication and written skills required.

    + Interpersonal skills necessary to direct and assign work to subordinates, explain department policies and procedures and communicate effectively with other professionals.

    + Advanced skills in Microsoft tools including Excel and PowerBI.
