Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will partner with Product/UX/Architects and software developers to deliver a program of work across a large number of teams. For each program that you will own, you will work with Product and UX counterparts to define the product vision and roadmap in a data-driven approach - by working backward from customer needs. You will also work with Principal Engineers (architects) to draw technical design/approach documents. And finally, you will work with engineering teams across the globe to own the actual product execution cycle (develop, test, and launch).

A day in the life

- Thinking big and working with senior leadership, business stakeholders and engineering teams to define vision, strategy and requirements.

- Driving system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

- Delivering results by driving execution of programs spanning multiple organizations from design to rollout.

- Earning trust through regular communication with stakeholders of all levels.

- Updating management/stakeholders/partner teams on status, risks and change control.

- Owning all metrics around initiative goals you define.

- Being resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years of engineering experience

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

- 5+ years of software development experience

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
