Overview
SOSi is seeking an experienced Program Director with a deep understanding of IT Program Management supporting large and complex government contracts. This position will be the single point of contact for the Government Task Monitor and COR. This position is located in Charleston, SC.
Essential Job Duties
+ Program Planning and Coordination: Develop program strategies and plans that align with the Government objectives; Coordinate various projects and teams within the program, ensuring that they complement and do not conflict with each other.
+ Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor project managers and teams within the program; Foster a collaborative environment and encourage high performance and professionalism.
+ Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders; Communicate program goals, objectives, and progress effectively to all stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners.
+ Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources across projects to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and issues within the program. Develop and implement strategies for mitigating risks and resolving issues.
+ Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate program performance using appropriate tools and techniques; Adjust program strategies as necessary to ensure successful outcomes; Ensure proficient or can quickly gain proficiency in project management software and tools utilized by SOSi and the Government.
+ Budget Management: Develop and manage program budgets; Ensure that program spending is in line with financial objectives and constraints.
+ Quality Assurance: Ensure that program outputs meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
+ Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Enable a program culture of continuous improvement and innovation focused on increasing value to the customer.
+ Leverage SOSi technical and operational capabilities to provide cutting edge value to benefit the customer.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active In scope DOD Secret clearance.
+ Bachelor’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, Business Administration or Program Management related field, OR Associate’s degree and 4 years additional experience in leading or managing task related projects may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
+ Eight years of project related experience.
+ Knowledge in planning, directing, and managing large projects/operations including at least two major software development implementations, using industry standard best practice software development methodologies.
+ Knowledge and supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills in efforts similar in size and scope.
+ Knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Project Management and Software Development.
+ Proven track record delivering on time and within budget for large, complex projects.
+ Experience with researching and fielding new and innovative technology
+ Experience with program management in either Federal, DoD, Army, Intelligence Community (IC), or State programs of similar scope and complexity; Federal, DoD, or North American payroll preferred.
+ IT experience in either Federal, DoD, IC, or State programs of large scope and complexity; Federal, DoD, Army, or North American payroll experience preferred.
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (e.g., Program Management Institute (PMI)-PMP) or Program Management Professional (PMI-PgMP) required.
+ Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with managing the entire agile software development lifecycle, including frequent production delivery is desired.
+ Master’s degree in an IT-related field.
+ Leading SAFe certification desired.
+ Agile Product Owner certification is desired.
Work Environment
+ May require periodic travel to customer sites.
+ Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
+ Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
+ May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
