Civil Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team of engineers and technicians, where you will perform designs, evaluations, and prepare calculations and drawings. Your role will involve conducting site inspections and investigations, preparing technical specifications according to design codes, and researching design options for both technical and financial impacts. You will also prepare engineering reports and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

+ Work collaboratively with a team of engineers and technicians.

+ Perform designs, evaluations, and prepare calculations and drawings.

+ Conduct site inspections and investigations as needed.

+ Prepare standard documents such as technical specifications per applicable design codes.

+ Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact.

+ Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

+ 4-8 years of related experience in Civil Design.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

+ Experience with Stormwater Management, Site Layouts, Grading, Drainage, Utility Design, Sediment and Erosion Control.

+ Experience with Engineering Calculations.

+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ EIT certification.

+ Experience with Hydrocad.

+ Ability to work on the design of projects such as the 2nd Ave Subway.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The team is close-knit, offering a wealth of knowledge and support. Full-time hires start with a minimum of 3 weeks’ vacation, and there is a floating holiday to celebrate employee diversity. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
