About the Job
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Cloud Optimization Manager to lead our FinOps and DevSecOps teams and drive the evolution of our FinOps and DevSecOps practices and profiles. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about automation, cost-efficiency, and security who can collaborate and communicate effectively.
What you will do
Leadership & Strategy
• Lead and mentor a team of FinOps and DevSecOPs teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Define and implement FinOps and DevSecOps strategies aligned with business goals and Cloud engineering guidelines and accountability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to inform, educate, and enable best practices.
Infrastructure & Automation
• Lead all aspects of the design, implementation, and security practices and enhancement while collaborating with our CISO and CYS team.
• Drive improvements in transparency, accuracy, and greater details of analysis and timeliness of financial reporting of COGS as related to our SaaS operations and environment.
• Help ensure the security of our SaaS environments while maintaining high availability and performance.
• Enable team members to make informed decisions of cost optimization.
Operations & Monitoring
• Integrate security practices into our automation, processes, operations.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to monitor costs and security.
• Advise the business of current state and risks both from a security and financial perspective.
Governance & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce operational protocols of cost management and business continuity planning.
What you need
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering and understanding of standards.
• 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Expertise in AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of architectural design patterns from software, security, and cloud infrastructure perspective.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills with security-first DevOps mentality
• Ops + cost awareness: experience managing environments with an eye toward both performance and spending.
• Multi-functional approach: comfortable talking to finance/business and translating cloud topics into financial impacts. E.g., what an increase in Infra Hosts means for costs. Be able to explain it to non-tech people
• Deep knowledge of AWS billing & cost tools, Tagging & account structure design, Optimization practices and a familiar with FinOps Framework
What makes you a Standout
• Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.).
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with managing .Net environments and Kubernetes clusters
