As a Systems Engineer Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the SOCOM organization at Fort Bragg, NC.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer Sr Principal must have:
Job Responsibilities.
+ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code testing, deployment, and integration, ensuring continuous delivery of network automation solutions.
+ Develop, integrate, and implement automated solutions for network provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting using Python scripting, Ansible playbooks, Jinja, and YAML templating.
+ Collaborate with Network engineers to understand their needs and translate them into efficient and effective automation workflows.
+ Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all automation scripts, playbooks, and processes.
+ Integrate automation solutions with existing network management systems and tools like Nautobot and Git fo4r version control and code management.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation workflows, ensuring their reliability and scalability.
+ Stay up to date on the latest advancements in network automation technologies and best practices through attending trade shows and industry conferences.
+ Participate in agile sprints, contributing to the planning, execution, and delivery of network automation related projects within defined timelines.
Required Skills:
+ Strong proficiency with Python scripting language, Jinja and YAML templating.
+ Experience with Git for version control and code collaboration.
+ Experience with Nautobot or similar IPAM source of truth.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in a high dynamic and face-paced environment.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with Network engineers.
Preferred Skills:
+ CCNA Enterprise certification.
+ 5+ years of proven experience in network engineering with a strong focus on Cisco technologies.

+ TS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $114,525 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
