    Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours; 7:30am - 4:30pm

    Here's What You Need

    * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required

    * 3 years of clinical experience required

    * 1 year of Oncology experience preferred

    * RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required and

    * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

    * OCN - Oncology Certified Nurse upon hire preferred

    What You Will Do

    * Act as a leader in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes that support departmental and organizational goals of oncology care within the hospital entity and overall Texas Health System.

    * Utilize current research and evidence based standards of practice to develop, analyze, and coordinate a comprehensive plan of patient education activities, including goals assessment, planning, implementation, needed resources and evaluation methods to support improved patient outcomes.

    * Function as a consultant by collaborating with managers, staff, physicians, patients and other members of the healthcare team to identify, plan, implement, and evaluate educational interventions.

    * Utilize current evidence-based practice and research findings to promote cancer awareness in the community.

    * Participate in development, implementation and evaluation of cancer program specific goals and objectives.

    * Evaluate opportunities to provide patient care in a cost-efficient manner and when possible increase patient revenue and patient satisfaction.
