    What You’ll be Doing

     

    The Desktop Support Associate Technician provides frontline technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and end-user applications at the Duluth contact center. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing IT equipment, ensuring endpoint compliance, and delivering high-quality customer service to internal users. The technician works under general supervision and collaborates with other IT teams to support business operations and technology initiatives.

     

    You’ll report to the Local Site IT Lead / Manager, Desktop Support. We’re looking for a leader to Act as one, as you will encourage and motivate you team to resolve issues, accomplish goals and influence their career mobility.

    During a Typical Day, You’ll

    + Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

    + Perform manual software installations and updates as required.

    + Monitor and maintain endpoint compliance.

    + Track DHCP IP pools and initiate VLAN requests to network teams.

    + Provide technical assistance and customer service to end users, both in-person and remotely.

    + Maintain and update documentation, including SOPs, job aids, FAQs, and the site master document.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance on computers and peripherals.

    What You Bring to the Role

    + Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Strong knowledge of IT support practices, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop operating systems.

    + Familiarity with PC hardware, Microsoft software applications (e.g., MS Office), SCCM, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policies, and imaging processes.

    + High attention to detail in planning, reporting, and execution; proactive in resolving issues and improving work practices.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong time management for daily tasks and projects.

    + Able to work additional hours as required.

    + Desired: Scripting skills (PowerShell, etc.) and documentation skills.

    **Compensation** The Anticipated salary range for this position is $23.58/hr. Actual compensation offers to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill levels.
