Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide outpatient and inpatient genetic counseling with known or suspected genetic disorders.
+ Share on-call responsibilities with the other faculty.
+ Participate in the education of residents, medical students, pediatric residents, and genetic counseling students

For more information, visit www.cuanschutz.edu. This position provides genetic counseling services for clinical patients with, or at risk of, genetically determined diseases. We serve the population of the State of Colorado and parts or all surrounding states. It is associated with Children's Hospital Colorado but also serves the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus, as well as several affiliated community hospitals throughout the State. The individual hired in this position is responsible to the Genetics & Metabolism Section Head, and, if providing clinical service in another Section of the Department of Pediatrics, the clinical leadership of the Section in which care is provided. The individual will work collaboratively with other faculty and genetics and metabolic team members. The successful candidate will join >22 genetic counselors providing care in Children's Hospital Colorado and will work closely with many physicians and other healthcare professionals in the clinical setting. This position will primarily support the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center. GCs may move internally depending on clinical need, so the focus of this position could shift to provide GC services in another section depending on need at the time of hiring. The successful candidate will know the primary focus of their work at the time of the offer of a position.
