    This role will be responsible to influence and implement Carnival Corporation's compensation strategy within the Operating Unit and collaborate with HR business partners in the planning and management of compensation programs that support and drive the company's business strategy.

     

    This role is a senior role within the Global HR team and sets the direction for how the Compensation strategies are implemented within the individual Operating Unit.

     

    The Compensation Director will work closely with the Operating Unit leadership team, HR business partners, and other key departments to support business goals and enhance employee retention. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of compensation design, excellent communication skills, and significant leadership experience. Additionally, this role to ensure strong alignment and collaboration across the brands within Carnival Corporation.

    Essential Functions:

    + **Compensation Strategy & Program Design**

    + Execute shoreside compensation strategies that support talent acquisition, retention, and performance.

    + Lead annual compensation planning cycles for the Operating Unit including salary reviews, incentive programs, and market benchmarking.

    + Implement HCM functionality to support compensation workflows and analytics in the respective Operating Unit

    + Ensure alignment with Global HR goals, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.

    + **Budgeting & Financial Modeling**

    + Prepare cost modeling and impact analyses to support executive decision-making.

    + Collaborate with Finance and HR to ensure funding strategies are sustainable and aligned with business needs.

    + **Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement**

    + Partner with HR Business Partners, Operating Unit stakeholders, and Finance to deliver integrated compensation solutions in accordance with the Corporate strategy.

    + Provide expert consultation to senior leaders on compensation decisions, job leveling and pay equity

    + Lead cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the Operating Unit to improve compensation processes and systems

    + Advise managers, HR Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners on pay decisions, policy interpretation, job evaluations, and compensation best practice.

    + **Communication**

    + Support and help lead Compensation projects on behalf of the Operating Unit and ensure alignment across regions.

    + Drive communication and training around compensation programs to build awareness and understanding across the Operating Unit.

    + **Compliance & Administration**

    + Ensure all compensation policies, plans, and programs are administered in compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and codes.

    + Oversee the compensation items of SOX and RASS control to maintain regulatory compliance for the Operating Unit.

    + Implement and direct HR information systems related to compensation administration. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

    + Responsible for ensuring the Operating Unit employees and managers are following all relevant compensation-related policies and identifying additional policies needed.

    + **Performs other duties as assigned**

    Qualifications:

    + 10+ years of relevant work experience

    + Experience in a large, complex Global organization or multi-national company with deep understanding of practical experience in applied compensation principles, methods, program design, forecasting, salary planning, incentive programs, variable pay, and market analysis

    + Strong business acumen

    + Ability to lead small teams and influence across a global, matrixed organization.

    + Skilled at navigating complex, and sometimes challenging, discussions with regional stakeholders.

    + Work independently and effectively manages projects from inception through execution in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + **Impact:** Ability to build relationships, partner, gain credibility and influence senior leadership, business leaders, and peers to drive results. Business acumen/strategic thinker. Must be able to think beyond financial and economic drivers in order to create benefits plans that will attract, retain, and motivate our talent. Is able to understand the broad business challenges and apply business principles to the function. Confident and able to represent the company internally and externally. Strong commitment to integrity and high standards. Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and project management skills.

    + **Leadership:** A senior member of the Corporate Global HR team who positively impacts an inclusive high performing, continuous improvement, customer focused culture across the team and specifically in Compensation, role modelling behaviors and actions that support this.

    + Lead, manage and support professional level employees carrying out line management responsibilities including regular 1-2-1 meetings, coaching, development and talent management

    + Facilitating the ability for the Global HR team to work across, and alongside, functional Brand teams and clients, working closely and collaboratively with HRLT, and other senior stakeholders.

    + **Knowledge:** Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

    + **Skills:** Strong time management and organizational skills

    + **Abilities:** Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

     

    Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

     

    Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

     

    Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

     

    This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

     

    Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
