    Some of what you'll be doing:

    As a Pier 69 Facilities Specialist, you will support the department mission by assisting with various operational and maintenance support services in an active, hands-on manner.

     

    + You will ensure facility standards, building conditions, and safety equipment are consistently maintained and comply with all applicable regulations.

    + You will be coordinating with internal and external service providers, conducting regular inspections, and efficiently managing competing service requests to provide timely and quality customer service.

    + You will produce identification badges and support the management of access to waterfront properties for employees, guests, and contractors, ensuring confidentiality and protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

    + You will collaborate with the Human Resources (HR) department to process employee parking card requests and maintain accurate records.

    + You will support day-to-day operations of the facility, including providing backup support for front-desk and back-office duties as needed/assigned.

    + You will coordinate event logistics and oversee support the sorting, processing, and delivery of all incoming and outgoing mail/parcels.

    + You will assist in managing small-scale facility-related projects, such as construction, office moves, and furniture reconfigurations.

    + You will procure products and services using the p-card and purchase requisition systems and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

    Who you are:

    + **Experienced** – You have one (1) year of facilities or property management support experience.

    + **Desired** – We hope you have a Facility Management Professional (FMP) Certification.

    + **Efficient Communicator** – You have strong verbal, written, and listening skills, communicating clearly with both internal and external audiences. You can analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources and communicate key concepts simply and effectively.

    + **Adaptable & Detail Oriented** – You have strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, while handling and maintaining sensitive and confidential information with discretion. You are also adept at prioritizing workload and adapting to changes in workload demands.

    + **Collaborator** – You can develop and maintain effective working relationships to gain trust and establish credibility at all organizational levels. You can also work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups and individuals within and external to the Port.

    + **Technically Skilled** – You have proficiency with Microsoft Suite (MS) Office, and familiarity with Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software.

    What else you need to know:

    + **Work Schedule** – Your normal work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Occasional evening hours may be needed to support building events. You may be required to work during emergencies.

    + **Work Environment** – You will primarily work in an office environment.

    + **Washington State Residency Requirement** – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.

    + **Overtime Eligible** – You are eligible for overtime pay in this role.

    + **Safety Requirements** – You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements when visiting construction projects/sites.

    + **Security Requirements** – As the successful candidate, you must obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) within the first three months of employment.
