Position Summary:
The Front End Supervisor plays a pivotal role in optimizing patient experience and operational efficiency. This position encompasses managing patient flow in waiting areas, providing comprehensive training staff on front end applications and procedures, as well as ensuring accurate and efficient collection and entry of patient information to facilitate processing and payment follow-through for all service
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Ensure front end staff are allocated appropriately to ensure minimal wait time and/or delay for patients;
+ Work closely with the Site Operations Supervisor and Site Operations Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels based on patient volume;
+ Conduct candidate interviews, evaluating alignment with the company's mission to ensure optimal fit within the organizational culture
+ Train new and current staff to complete reception duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to, accurately and efficiently collecting and inputting patient information and payment, balancing and closing daily journals;
+ Review and audit daily journals of reception staff for accuracy and account for all financial collections;
+ Respond and address patient complaints as they arise and elevate to Site Management or other management as needed;
+ Complete reception duties as needed including balancing and closing journals when appropriate;
+ Maintains a high level of confidentiality and complies with HIPAA standards
+ Provide oversight for urgent care services, ensuring the delivery of timely and effective patient care
+ Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma required, college degree a plus;
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills required;
+ 4 to 6 years of recent healthcare experience preferred;
+ Supervisory/management experience a plus;
+ Quick thinker with ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment;
+ Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment is a must;
+ Experience working with electronic health records preferred;
+ Experience with medical insurance billing/coding preferred;
Other Information
+ Ability to travel to various OrthoNY locations if needed. Reliable transportation is essential
