Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, capable of repairing machines when they break down and performing preventative maintenance on ice cream cone making machines. The role requires someone comfortable with periods of inactivity or operating a cone machine oven until maintenance is required. Electrical safety knowledge and basic computer skills are important for this position.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative maintenance on ice cream cone making machines.

+ Repair machines when they break down.

+ Operate cone machine ovens when not engaged in maintenance tasks.

+ Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

+ Utilize troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix mechanical issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of food safety is a plus.

+ Understanding of PLCs is advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment includes hot areas near ovens and cooler packing areas, typical of a manufacturing or food safety setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hair nets, beard nets, smocks, and safety glasses are required to ensure safety and compliance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
