    Press Brake Operator in Lexington, NC

    Job Description

    Responsible for setting up and operating the brake to bend, notch, punch, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal according to blueprint or sketch specifications, in order to support production.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform set-ups and die changes when required by job.

    + Work with steel ranging from 1.5mm to 30mm thick.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to produce various configurations.

    + Measure and verify dimensions of work pieces.

    + Interpret precise measuring instruments and measure parts for proper specifications.

    + Check products for correct shape, dimensions, and other specifications.

    + Perform quality inspections for all parts and components produced, ensuring correct sizes, flatness, and tolerances for the customer.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting schematics.

    + Proficiency in operating press brake machines.

    + Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.

    + Skilled in handling hand tools.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.43 - $21.71/hr.
