Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Public Tax Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and strategic planning, along with a passion for mentoring less experienced staff. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse tax matters and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Perform in-depth tax research to address complex issues and provide strategic recommendations to clients.

• Assist in managing tax audits, including responding to inquiries and working closely with tax authorities to resolve matters.

• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and share relevant updates with the team and clients.

• Supervise and mentor less experienced tax staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work to ensure quality and compliance.

• Utilize software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP S/4HANA to streamline tax processes and reporting.

• Prepare and analyze ad hoc reports to support decision-making and compliance efforts.

• Collaborate with clients to ensure corporate tax compliance and address any concerns or questions.

• Conduct compliance audits to identify and mitigate potential risks. Requirements • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in using tax and accounting software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, QuickBooks, and SAP S/4HANA.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

• Experience conducting tax research and providing strategic planning recommendations.

• Ability to mentor and supervise tax staff at the entry level, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex tax issues.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and tax authorities.
