Job Duties and Responsibilities
As the Manager of Data Analytics, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our analytics team within the Transport Department, develop and implement data-driven strategies, and provide actionable insights to support key business decisions. You will manage analytics projects, ensure data quality, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the department and the wider organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Leadership and Team Management:
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, aligning their responsibilities with their long-term career goals and fostering a collaborative environment
+ Implement efficient strategies for task distribution to optimize team productivity and enhance overall team efficiency
+ Conduct regular development discussions and performance reviews to support career growth and align team efforts with departmental and organizational objectives
+ Data Strategy and Analysis:
+ Develop and execute data analytics strategies aligned with the department’s goals and broader business objectives. Identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance decision-making and drive business growth
+ Oversee and manage multiple data analytics projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights
+ Apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning) to solve complex business problems and deliver actionable insights
+ Reporting and Data Quality:
+ Create and deliver comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders within the department and beyond
+ Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data through robust data quality and governance practices, and establish and enforce data governance policies
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional) is preferred
+ 5+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role, may be considered in place of formal education
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
+ Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage performance, and drive results

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $140,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
