Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Verifies and secures loads.

+ Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.

+ Drives truck to assigned destination(s) when needed.

+ Assists workers in unloading and loading trucks when required.

+ Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.

+ Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc. when needed.

+ Monitor and keep the shop / shop yard clean of all debris.

+ Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.

+ Maintains cleanliness for shop/warehouse, storage yard, parking lot as needed.

+ Maintains cleanliness for office area consistently as needed.

+ Delivers and picks up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings when needed.

+ Must be able to work OT and off hour shifts if required.

+ Restock returned material.

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED is required.

+ 2+ years of delivery driving or related work experience is required.

+ Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.

+ Possession of a current DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain is required.

+ Valid driver’s license with driving record that meets or exceeds Company standards found in the Fleet Policy is required.

+ Previous experience operating a forklift is required.

+ Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.

+ Average experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel) applications is required.
