Student Outreach Coordinator (Full-Time)

This position with the NYU Prison Education Program (PEP) will work directly with the Program Faculty Director, Executive Director, Associate Director of Continuing Education and Bridge Program Coordinator on student outreach and strategic partnership research. The position will assist in the design and implementation of programmatic surveys and assessments of student need, resource infrastructure within the university and beyond with the goal of establishing new administrative systems and practices to serve currently and formely incarcerated students in our program. The position is full-time and hybrid (3 days/week in-office at 285 Mercer St.)
Position Responsibilities:
+ Maintain regular office hours 3 days per week in person at 285 Mercer St for student consultations and collaborative project work with other PEP staff.
+ Review, update and improve student data tracking and communication sysems for programmatic assessment and delivery.
+ Support the design and implementation of outreach research and protocols for student need assessment and prospective resource partnerships within NYU and across City, State, and community organization sites.
+ Support research and writing for grant applications to further develop outreach, policy and student resource research initiatives.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Per NYU's remote-work policy, this position is expected ot be hybrid, with 3 days/week in office.
This role may supervise 1-5 student volunteers or part-time student employees for projects related to the above responsibilities.
+ BA or MA level degree
+ Proficiency with Google Suite, willing to learn AirTable and various NYU online systems
+ Strong time-management skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines across multiple projects
+ Attention to detail, including in data management and reporting, budget management and record-keeping
+ Strong communication, including interpersonal skills across a variety of relationships including with students, faculty, staff, and community partners
+ Experience with student-facing research and program coordination
+ Experience working with systems-impacted students, skilled awareness of challenges and strengths in this community
