Care Initiatives is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst I to join our team! As the largest single operator of quality nursing homes in Iowa, Care Initiatives has over forty (40) skilled nursing communities, seven (7) hospice offices (and growing!), plus our own internal staffing agency. The Business Intelligence Analyst I role will collect data from a variety of sources and analyze source system data to create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for end users. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving requests simultaneously.
In this role you will be expected to work in the office at our information systems corporate office located in West Des Moines, IA; occasional flexibility is available.
What you'll do as the Business Intelligence Analyst I:
+ Responsible for data analysis and reporting including report automation
+ Acquire data from multiple sources using multiple business intelligence tools
+ Generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations
+ Building dashboards and maintaining spreadsheets for use in making business decisions
+ Collaborate with various departments to achieve business results
+ Provide support to management by collecting and analyzing data and reporting results based on the needs of end users
+ This role requires a certain degree of creativity with a strong understanding of data and the ability to interpret data for internal customers with a varying degree of data knowledge
+ Providing data management, education, and support to multiple departments and user.
What it takes to become our Business Intelligence Analyst I:
+ Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent.
+ One to three years of related work experience in the field of business analytics, data mining, business intelligence, and report writing.
+ Knowledge regarding data models, database design development, data mining.
+ Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
+ Basic competency in relational database concepts and SQL
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with advanced skills in Excel.
+ Passion for data quality and reporting excellence
+ Dashboarding skills – preferred
+ Experience in the long-term care or healthcare field – preferred
