Good Shepherd Village at Endwell is looking for confident and dependable Security Guards to join our team!
Position Detail
This per diem position will be utilized to provide coverage during employee call-outs, scheduled time off, and other staffing gaps as needed to ensure consistent security coverage across all shifts focusing on weekend coverage.

Position Summary
The Security position will play a crucial role in safeguarding our campus against potential threats, both internal and external. This position will involve patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to the independent medical pendant system, in a timely and professional manner.
+ Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility and grounds to deter and detect security breaches.
+ Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any issues.
+ Control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
+ Respond to emergency situations such as the medical pendant system and off hour alarms or alerts.
+ Collaborate with healthcare staff and external emergency services to coordinate responses to emergency and security incidents.
+ Coordinate with maintenance personnel in relation to mechanical and environmental equipment monitoring.
+ Document security-related incidents and maintain accurate records for reporting and analysis.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of our facility.
Essential Job Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED required, training in security or law enforcement preferred.
License: Valid driver's license
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Knowledge in security protocols and procedures, including response to emergency calls.
Experience: 1-3 years experience in a Security related role, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
