Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Technician to join our healthcare team in Grand Prairie, United States. As a Physical Therapist Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and contributing to the rehabilitation and recovery of our patients.

+ Assist physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and treatment plans

+ Prepare treatment areas and set up therapy equipment for patient sessions

+ Administer hot and cold packs, and other modalities as directed by the physical therapist

+ Guide patients through prescribed exercises and monitor their progress

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment

+ Ensure proper maintenance and care of therapy equipment

+ Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed

+ Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey

+ Accurately document patient information and treatment details in electronic health records

+ Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

+ Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

+ Current enrollment in a physical or occupational therapy curriculum program preferred

+ Strong work ethic and a responsible attitude

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Genuine interest in helping people and a caring, empathetic nature

+ Outstanding organizational and time management abilities

+ Knowledge of basic physical therapy techniques and equipment

+ Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to safety protocols

+ Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment

+ Basic computer skills for accurate record-keeping and documentation

+ Flexibility to work in a dynamic healthcare environment

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care

+ Working towards obtaining a college degree (preferred)
