Collins Aerospace is looking for Machinist I for our Miami, FL Landing gear Facility.

Work Shift: Second shift (Monday - Friday - 2:45 - 11:15 pm)

What will you do

+ Produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC or manual machines (Mills, lathes, bandsaws, etc.).

+ Using precision hand measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)

+ Take measurements of materials and select appropriate machines for the process.

+ Perform machining setup and adjust as required.

+ Conduct inspection of work produced.

+ Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, materials and dimensional requirements.

+ Keep records and maintain quality safety standards.

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.

+ One year experience in manufacturing industry or machine shop

+ Experience in interpreting and understanding machines codes

+ Experience in 5 axis machines
