Overview
This senior leadership role is rooted in media expertise while encompassing broader advertising disciplines. The Groupe Account Director will lead integrated teams across media planning and buying, strategy, creative, and client services to deliver innovative, performance-driven solutions for the LATAM region. This role is pivotal in shaping the Miami office’s strategic direction, driving operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative, future-ready culture.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership Across Disciplines
- Define and execute the strategic vision for the Miami office, with a strong foundation in media and integration across advertising functions.
- Act as a senior advisor to clients, translating business goals into holistic marketing and media strategies.
- Champion innovation and transformation across media, creative, and strategy teams.
- Ensure alignment between media plans and cross-functional teams.
Client Management and Growth
- Serve as the senior point of contact for client engagements, ensuring strategic alignment and exceptional service delivery.
- Lead integrated business reviews and performance presentations across media and advertising disciplines.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support new business initiatives.
Leadership & Integration
- Oversee media planning and buying teams across digital, offline, programmatic, and social channels.
- Ensure media strategies are data-driven, performance-focused, and aligned with client KPIs.
- Collaborate with strategy, creative, and analytics teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Stay ahead of media trends and emerging platforms to guide future-ready solutions.
Operational Oversight
- Manage day-to-day operations across disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
- Optimize workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and quality across media and advertising outputs.
- Partner with vendors and platforms to unlock innovation and first-to-market opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Attract and retain top talent across media, strategy, and client services.
- Drive professional development and connect teams across the network to share knowledge and build integrated solutions.
Financial Stewardship
- Monitor budgets for all the various accounts assigned, forecast revenue, and manage profitability.
- Partner with finance and leadership to ensure investments deliver ROI and meet financial targets.
Qualifications
- **Experience:** 15+ years in media and advertising, with a strong background in media planning/buying and integrated campaign leadership in an agency setting, preferably in the LATAM region. Experience managing large-scale accounts and cross-functional teams is essential.
- **Expertise:** Deep understanding of media strategy, planning, buying, and performance optimization, with exposure to creative, strategy, and analytics.
- **Leadership:** Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation across disciplines.
- **Financial Acumen:** Experience managing budgets and delivering on financial goals.
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications preferred; MBA is a plus.
- **Languages:** Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
