Our **Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)** is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a **Learning Systems IT Specialist,** you will be responsible for providing system training and support for Caterpillar dealers, participating in global tool selection teams, and developing online system performance support resources. This position is part of an experienced, specialized IT team that manages multiple learning software platforms that work together to deliver a global learning ecosystem.

What You Will Do:
• Maintaining contact with learning vendors/entities/organizations (internal and external) to evaluate their capabilities, analyze results, and contract for delivery of programs where appropriate.
• Provide learning system training and support for Caterpillar dealers
• Participate on global teams that select tools to support the needs of people development professionals worldwide.
• Develop, design, and support online performance support tools and web-based programs.
• Assist and support the design and development of processes, interfaces, and tools to capture and report human performance improvement metrics.
• Assist in guideline interpretation and grief analysis resolution as they pertain to learning and learning technology systems and solutions
• Assist in research, assessment, and diagnostic work to support the design and development of learning systems and processes.
• Respond to requests to help solve organizational development problems by applying a range of learning technology principles and solutions.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
• **Education Requirement:** College/university degree or 2 to 3 years of job-related experience with learning management systems
• **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
• **Data Gathering & Analysis:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
• **Service Excellence:** Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
• **Consulting:** Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
• **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• **Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• **Relationship Management:** Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
• **Technical Excellence:** Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have/Preferred Skills):
• Experience developing and deploying learning management system processes and procedures
• Experience with SCORM, AICC, xAPI for deploying and troubleshooting web-based learning content
• Understanding of the Caterpillar organization, products, and experience working with customers, and dealers
• Strong process development, implementation, and maintenance
• Good interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
• Organizing/planning skills
• Experience troubleshooting cross-system communication issues through system protocols

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
