Join Caterpillar Inc. in our Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) as a **Design Engineer** and provide support to the product maintenance of 3600/C280/G3600 thru planning, coordination, and execution. This role will be focused on leading multiple projects covering various areas including CPI, LEPI, BIQ / Quality Issues, Cost Reduction, AoS, CI Cards resolution, VDRAs, Order Changes and PA/PL configurations. The Design Engineer will interface with numerous disciplines managing multiple complex engineering projects involving multiple functions, organizations, products, or value chains. What You Will Do: + Support CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) and Product Health teams in quality improvement project work. + Orders Change resolution for 3600/C280/G3600 Platform providing solutions to the team on the technical aspects. + Complete projects and tasks on time and on cost, that deliver VM (Variable Margin) improvement and OPACC (Operating Profit after Capital Charge) benefits to Caterpillar. + Work with global teams working on current product projects and processes. + Engage with other business process partners and manufacturing teams, assembly line technicians to help resolve any quality issues and quality holds. What You Have : + **Education** : Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum OR demonstrated progressive experience in directly related roles. + **Product Design and Development** : Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, ability to design, build, and develop a new product from concept through to production. + **Project Management** : Ability to plan, organize, monitor & control projects while demonstrating efficient use of resources. + **Effective Communication** : Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and concise conveyance of complex ideas and information across diverse stakeholders. **Top Candidates Will Have** : + Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes & technologies. + Analytical thinking skills with a track record of effectively identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities within engineering data. + Strong interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of collaborative relationships with suppliers, dealers, internal teams, and international counterparts to drive collective success. Summary Pay Range: $87,480.00 - $131,280.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
