             What We Offer The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Human Resources Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the Director of Strategic Initiatives by coordinating, executing, and optimizing HR-related activities throughout all stages of the M&A lifecycle. This role ensures HR deliverables are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with Novant Health’s strategic and operational objectives. The Project Manager acts as a bridge between HR functions and cross-functional partners, ensuring consistent communication, seamless documentation, and efficient integration of new groups into the organization. This individual will help build scalable processes for HR’s M&A work and may serve as a backup for the Director on integration projects when needed. Essential Functions: + Partner with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to coordinate HR activities across multiple M&A transactions, including due diligence, integration planning, and execution. + Manage project timelines, deliverables, and documentation to ensure a structured and consistent approach to all deals. + Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) – including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and Operations – to align HR activities with organizational strategy and compliance requirements. + Experience in benefits analysis, total rewards, or clinical operations preferred; ability to assess and compare benefits plans and workforce costs. + Conduct analysis to support deal recommendations, including workforce assessments, benefits comparisons, and cost evaluations to determine the financial and operational impacts of potential acquisitions. + Serve as a connector between HR and operational leaders to ensure new groups are effectively onboarded into Novant Health systems, processes, and pay structures. + Support site visits with the integration team to understand local workforce needs, pay practices, schedules, and system readiness for successful payroll and HR transitions. + Leverage project management best practices to develop tools, templates, and materials that document how Novant Health manages HR M&A activities. + Partner with clinical and operational teams to understand site-specific needs and shape information for efficient integration through HR processes. + Identify potential risks and develop proactive solutions to ensure smooth integrations and positive team member experiences. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking for budget and cost analysis. + Ability to travel up to 10% as needed to support on-site integration and team collaboration. Qualifications + Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree , required. Graduate Degree, preferred. + Experience: + 3-5 Years of Progressive HR or project management experience, preferred. + 3-5 Years of M&A or integration experience, preferred. + 2 Years Clinical or Benefits Administration Experience, preferred. + Additional Skills/ Requirements (required): + Strong background in M&A integration, with a clear understanding of how to manage integrations from Day 0 planning through long-term transition. + Prior exposure to transaction environments (corporate development, consulting, investment banking, etc.) and cross-functional workstream management. + Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups and navigate competing priorities. + Comfortable working with ambiguity, tight timelines, and evolving priorities. + Experience supporting or leading integration efforts from planning through execution. + Proven ability to manage large, cross-functional projects with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including comfort working with senior stakeholders. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio), and project management tools . + Proven track record with integration projects that includes:Advisory support for deal considerations and diligence + Optimizing operating model and organization design + Identifying synergies, developing & coordinating plan to achieve measured synergies + Developing and executing integration plan for Day 1 + + Coordinating communications for culture and change management + Identifying interdependencies and risks and implementing needed resolutions/mitigations + Aligning multiple stakeholders towards agreed upon end-state + Optimizing transition service agreements, where relevant + Financial and IT acumen to understand and convey impact + Expert knowledge of project management practices to include: + Prior experience managing large, complex, strategic projects crossing multiple departments + Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills (written & verbal) both internally to the project team and to executives + Experience resolving project issues and conflicts encountered by team members + Ability to establish credible relationships with business partners to drive change + Ability to function effectively in an environment with multiple and fluctuating priorities; successfully manage multiple priority projects simultaneously + Decision-making, project leadership and consultation skills + Ability to be a team player, contribute to a positive working environment, and demonstrate initiative, ownership, and accountability + Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project + Ability to mentor others. + Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed. + Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): + Highly organized with strong attention to detail. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. + Collaborative and proactive—willing to take initiative and problem-solve. + Reliable team player who can balance independence with guidance from leadership. + Industry knowledge or experience in healthcare, health tech, or life sciences. + Knowledge of healthcare delivery models (ASCs, physician practices, and hospitals).
