The Opportunity
The **Associate Engineer - Data Science** will be an individual contributor that works under limited supervision. You will apply scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity to complete assignments with limited supervision.
What You’ll Work On
+ Contribute to cross functional investigations by providing data analysis support.
+ Work closely with engineers to build data solutions and visualization tools to support daily operations activities.
+ Offer analytical expertise to your colleagues to encourage data-driven decision making.
+ Present your findings to global colleagues and senior leadership.
+ Moves own work forward with limited direction through use of frameworks and structure.
+ Helps to scope studies – timeline, expected outcomes, resources, etc.
+ Proactive thinking and ideation to facilitate ongoing, open dialogue where information and ideas are shared to generate solutions.
+ Translates requirements into new solutions - Develops requirements and specifications for new and existing engineering designs.
+ Advances Engineering Expertise - Maintains current technical skills and functional area expertise.
+ Collaborates across functional areas - Exchanges information with product team members, scientists, engineers, and other systems development personnel.
+ Performs Investigations - Participates in investigations to determine root cause for low complexity issues.
+ Arrives at timely conclusions.
+ Maintains adherence to the Quality System -Implements and maintains the effectiveness of the quality system. Follows functional area policies and procedures.
+ Utilizes appropriate experimental, statistical and engineering tools.
+ Strategic Orientation -Ensures activities are focused on team priorities.
+ Works with cross functional team in collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Minimum 3 years of significant engineering and / or operational experience to develop the competence to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.
+ Strong technical knowledge and application of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
+ Ability to analyze semi-complex problems involving multiple factors
+ Ability to form and develop interpersonal and professional relationships
+ Display of socially and professionally appropriate behavior
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in group settings
+ Ability to work effectively across functions and departments
+ Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and computer software
+ Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
+ Strong organizational and project management skills
+ Ability to provide options or solutions that demonstrate understanding of fiscal controls
+ Ability to quickly gain new knowledge, understanding, or skills; willingness to learn
+ Flexibility to work in related branches of engineering with demonstrated transferable skills
+ Ability to train and mentor junior analysts to support their development and performance

The base pay for this position is $66,700.00 – $133,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
