In this position...
The Wheel Tire Vehicle Vibrates While Driving (VVWD) / NVH Engineer is dedicated to expert level, technical support for the diagnosis and resolution of VVWD and NVH quality issues for all vehicle lines manufactured globally.
What you'll do...
+ Provide dedicated technical support to the program Application teams and Vehicle Engineering (VE) Team for VVWD and NVH quality issues
+ Work with Vehicle Operations, Vehicle Engineering, and the Wheels, Tires, Jacks and Ornaments (WTJO) Core teams to develop assembly requirements that deliver VVWD and NVH quality improvements and robustness.
+ Develop objective assembly test methods to support uniformity cascades
+ Develop the supplier and Vehicle Operations technical and manufacturing capabilities to meet assembly uniformity targets
+ Develop and maintain internal Global quality documents (e.g.DFMEA) to meet Ford Motor Company requirements
+ Support the development of generic Core documents (e.g., Functional Specifications, Design Rules, quality documents) as it relates to VVWD / NVH
+ Review warranty information and implement permanent corrective actions
+ Global point of contact for all assembly technical topics as it relates to VVWD / NVH.
You'll have...
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering
+ 5+ years of industry experience.
+ Six Sigma Green Belt or 5+ years of demonstrated understanding and application of DOE techniques
+ Position requires travel to global Ford manufacturing sites as well as supplier facilities to conduct fresh eyes reviews and lead resolution of issues.

+ Masters preferred
+ Experience in writing macros (e.g., Excel VBA) to aid in the automation of engineering tools.
+ Understanding of program timing deliverables and basic Ford engineering tools including Teamcenter/3DX and buck environment.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Self-starting, self-directed
+ Detail orientated with a zero-defect mindset
+ Ability to work in a globally diverse team
+ Strong presentation, written and verbal communication and project management skills
+ Ability to handle complex tasks and challenging situations under compressed timing
+ Experience communicating with senior leaders, design and release, manufacturing, and suppliers
+ Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills with proper follow-up to accomplish multiple objectives
+ Effective coaching and mentoring skills
+ Ability to build strong effective relationships with cross functional teams (WTJO Core, Design and Release, Program Management, Vehicle Operations, Vehicle Engineering, and Suppliers)

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8 .
