About the Role

Are you a senior Radiologic Technologist student looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital setting? Lutheran Hospital is offering a unique opportunity to perform diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. This temporary role is designed to bridge your academic training with real-world clinical practice, helping you transition smoothly into a full-time Radiology Tech Registered position.

**Note:** This is a temporary position. Employees are expected to advance to the Registered role within six months of completing clinical hours.

Essential Functions

+ Practice within the scope of state licensure

+ Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency

+ Ensure proper patient identification and exam preparation

+ Perform diagnostic exams per protocol with attention to image quality

+ Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards

+ Educate and comfort patients throughout procedures

+ Operate imaging equipment and information systems

+ Document procedures, patient data, and any adverse reactions

+ Follow protocols for coding, charging, consents, and equipment reporting

Requirements

+ Current enrollment in a Radiologic Technologist program

+ BLS certification

+ Passion for patient care and medical imaging
