What You'll Be Doing
+ Operate a front-end loader to safely and efficiently feed the crushing plant and load trucks, while reporting directly to the Production Supervisor or Plant Management.
+ Conduct pre-shift inspections, perform routine maintenance, and promptly report equipment issues to maintenance personnel.
+ Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure roads and berms meet or exceed MSHA standards.
+ Support general pit maintenance activities, including grading, dust control, and drainage.
+ Ensure all pit operations comply with company safety policies and federal regulations.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs, pit conditions, and equipment performance.
+ Assist in training and mentoring new pit loader operators to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
What Are We Looking For
+ Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment, especially front-end loaders.
+ Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
+ Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
+ Ability to identify and report equipment issues promptly.
+ Willingness to train and mentor new operators as needed.
Conditions of Employment
+ Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
+ Compliance with all company safety policies and federal regulations is required.
Work Environment
+ Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
