Marketing Operations & Financial Lead, Wealth…
- Citigroup (Charlotte, NC)
-
The Marketing Operations & Finance Lead plays a mission-critical role in enabling the Citi Wealth Marketing function to operate at scale with financial discipline, governance rigor, and strategic clarity. This leader ensures that all foundational elements — from budget oversight and headcount planning to vendor management and risk controls — are run with operational excellence.
As the marketing organization grows in complexity and ambition, this role serves as the operational right hand to the Head of Business execution for Citi Wealth Marketing. It provides transparency into budget and resource allocation, supports the management of internal processes, and ensures alignment with Citi-wide governance frameworks. The role also liaises closely with compliance, risk, legal, and finance — serving as the connective tissue that keeps marketing moving efficiently, compliantly, and in lockstep with the broader enterprise.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, process-driven operator with strong financial acumen, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with consistency and care.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead financial planning, budget management, and headcount oversight for the global marketing function.
+ Serve as the central liaison to finance, business management, and procurement partners.
+ Oversee vendor engagement processes, onboarding, contracts, and invoice tracking.
+ Drive operational governance across the marketing organization — including reporting, documentation, and compliance protocols.
+ Track and manage marketing resources, allocations, and funding approvals in partnership with regional leads and business heads.
+ Partner with legal and risk to ensure marketing compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and policy changes.
+ Implement project management tools, dashboards, and performance trackers to support leadership visibility and decision-making.
+ Drive simplification and standardization across key marketing workflows, including planning cycles and QBRs.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of experience in business management, finance, or marketing operations, preferably within a global, matrixed organization.
+ Strong understanding of budget planning, vendor management, and operational controls.
+ Proven success managing large-scale processes and cross-functional initiatives.
+ Experience working with procurement systems, project management tools, and financial reporting platforms.
Education:
+ Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
Key Competencies
+ Financially fluent and operationally rigorous.
+ Collaborative and detail-oriented.
+ Strong communicator with stakeholder management skills.
+ Structured thinker who thrives in complex environments.
+ Trusted partner and problem solver.
