    Job Summary

    The Systems Administrator (Entry-Level) supports daily IT operations under the guidance of senior IT staff. The position assists with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, as well as user account management, email setup, and access permissions. The Systems Administrator plays an active role in maintaining network security, monitoring for breaches, and helping to enforce security policies. Additional responsibilities include supporting data integrity through routine backups, participating in disaster recovery planning, and documenting system procedures. The role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that support research and business goals.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems.

    + Support user account setup, email configuration, and access permissions.

    + Help maintain network security by monitoring logs, enforcing security policies, and participating in audits and vulnerability assessments.

    + Support data integrity and continuity by performing backups, assisting with disaster recovery solutions, and participating in recovery testing.

    + Maintain accurate documentation of system procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

    + Collaborate with administrators and cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and implement technology solutions that support organizational goals.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.
