The Business Data Analyst role focuses on delivering high-impact business solutions by leveraging data analytics. You will work with stakeholders to understand challenges, analyze data, identify opportunities, and implement automated solutions. As a Business Data Analyst you will:
• Support Flow Controls North America internal customers to provide insights which will enable data-driven decision-making
• Develop understanding of business systems, processes, and business goals & objectives
• Collect, clean, categorize, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources
• Build SQL queries and algorithms to mine data for hidden patterns and predictive insights
• Create compelling interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Excel, Python, etc.
• Communicate insights through clear data storytelling to influence decisions
• Develop statistical models forecasting, classification, and optimization
• Continuously monitor and enhance analytical solutions for accuracy and performance
• Collaborate with team members to provide effective solutions for our data needs
• Demonstrate commitment to providing superior service levels
• Lead requirements gathering sessions with process owners to map workflows
• Document processes and find opportunities for automation and improvement
• Leverage Intelligent Automation tools, including but not limited to: Robocorp, Python, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps and Noetix
• Work closely with stakeholders during development to ensure alignment
• Design, develop and implement custom solutions for the automation of existing or new processes
• Detailing and crafting training materials, as well as conducting training sessions for users on new automations
• Maintain and fix any issues with automations we build
• Provide support and guidance to Citizen Developers
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to support business performance
Required Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data analytics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Business or related
• Lifelong learner eager to learn new technologies and techniques to adapt to a rapidly changing landscape
• Express a systematic and logical approach to problem solving
• Self-starter comfortable working independently with limited direction
• Must show accuracy and attention to detail
• Must have superb communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams and interact with all levels of the organization
Preferred Experience & Skills:
• Experience in data analytics, business intelligence or related roles
• Business metric analysis
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, R, Python
• Ability to balance various responsibilities and meet deadlines efficiently
• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets
• General knowledge of regression modeling or classification
• Understand integrated financial systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Analytics
• Project management knowledge
