*About The Role:* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented*Mechanical Designer/Machinist*to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in the design, prototyping, and fabrication of precision mechanical components that support our advanced products and systems. Our Employee Resource Group program, Employee Recognition program, and 3D Gives Back program, are just a few examples of how you will be empowered to build connections, celebrate wins, and make a meaningful impact. *What You’ll Do* * Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). * Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, and other shop equipment to manufacture high-tolerance parts. * Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to iterate on designs and address manufacturing challenges. * Interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and apply GD&T standards. * Perform dimensional and quality inspections to ensure all components meet design requirements. * Document machining processes, setup procedures, and assembly instructions. * Maintain and calibrate shop equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. * Support product development through hands-on prototyping and creative mechanical solutions. *What You’ll Bring* * Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Design, Machining, or a related field (bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is a plus). * Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and precision machining. * Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and CAM programming tools. * In-depth knowledge of machining processes, mechanical materials, tolerances, and manufacturing best practices. * Experience operating and troubleshooting both CNC and manual machining equipment. * Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings. * Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. **Title:** *Mechanical Designer/Machinist * **Location:** *CA-San Diego* **Requisition ID:** *250000B8*
