Description
KEY RESPOSONSIBILITIES:
+ Supports the planning, education and implementation of quality improvement and safety projects throughout the department's practice locations.
+ Interventions will take place through inter-hospital collaboration, multidisciplinary communication, and the implementation/analysis of care delivery processes that impact quality metrics.
+ Travel and access throughout the department locations is required.
+ Serves as a resource for education and training regarding quality improvement, accreditation standards, internal process improvements, and external regulatory requirements.
+ Monitors and evaluates the performance of value-based care programs, analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement, and optimizing program effectiveness.
+ Oversees and implements value-based care initiatives and leads special projects to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department's care delivery.
+ Analyzes and presents clinical and non-clinical dashboard reports to the division as well as hospital leadership and staff.
+ Collaborates with leadership to establish organizational quality goals. Partners with the clinical leaders including designated quality leads, nursing leaders as well as cross-functional leaders throughout the organization.
+ Leads communication with stakeholders and external parties.
+ Leads and coordinates special projects to address specific challenges or opportunities within the organization, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, administrators, external partners, and hospital staff to drive the successful implementation of value-based and care programs.
+ Serves as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate communication, collaboration, and data knowledge sharing related to departmental initiatives.
+ Interprets and presents how data impacts hospital finance, accreditation, patient care workflows, and local and national performance benchmarks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's degree in life science, nursing, healthcare management, business, quality improvement science or related fields.
+ Must have at least three years of experience in project management developing and leading quality assessment and performance improvement programs in a healthcare system.
+ Candidates must be facile with EPIC's electronic medical record system and have experience in implementing Epic, Six Sigma, Lean or IHI model of Improvement.
+ Knowledge of applicable acute care quality, state, federal, and Joint Commission standards/regulations.
+ Preferred to have the candidate to currently have or will attain Certified Preferred Professional in Healthcare Risk Management certification.
+ Expected to obtain Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) status within two years of employment.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
