Waterford Public Schools has an immediate vacancy for a team-oriented individual. Waterford Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Waterford High School, effective November 26, 2025 through February 19, 2026. Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. Our district is actively seeking to recruitqualified applicants from a diversity of backgrounds , perspectives, and experiences so as to promote a diverse applicant pool for administrative, faculty, and staff positions to better serve our students’ multiple identities and to bring a broader range of experiences into our district to continue to enhance the teaching and learning for ALL. Qualifications

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

State of Connecticut endorsement

+ (165) Comprehensive Special Education, Grades K-12

Daily Rate for a certified substitute teacher is $150.00. On the 41st day of the same assignment, the daily rate shall be paid at BA step 1, $270.50. Retired teachers may be eligible for compensation up to $538.19/day.
